Rules

joyrank is a public leaderboard. There are no ads, no API keys, and no revenue share. You pay to stand above everyone else. Rank is the bid — nothing else.

How ranking works

• New listings are whole US dollars, $1 minimum, $999,999 maximum. Bids already on the board keep their amount until they raise or get outranked.
• Taking #1 costs at least $1 more than the current top bid. Paying less still puts you on the board at whatever rank that bid can take.
• Equal bids stay in the order they were placed — the older bid keeps the higher rank.
• Already on the board? You only pay the difference. Enter the same URL or @handle again and raise your bid — minimum $1 above your current amount. Someone else cannot take your rank by paying that difference.

Trending and the Hall of Fame

• Trending ranks real clicks in the last hour and has nothing to do with your bid. Money cannot buy that one.
• The Hall of Fame keeps four permanent records: longest at #1, most takeovers, most clicks, and highest bid. Most clicks is also unbuyable.

Today’s board

• Today’s board only counts what you spent since midnight UTC, then it clears.
• The same payment counts toward both today and all-time — it is not two payments. That is why today’s #1 usually costs far less than the all-time #1.

What you can list

• A product website, or an X @handle.
• Chat and invite links are not allowed — Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Messenger, Signal and similar. The board is for products and profiles, not group chats.
• Links to sexual content are not allowed.
• Query parameters are stripped from listing links. Affiliate, referral and tracking URLs will not work.
• Link shortener URLs are not allowed. Submit the real URL.
• App Store, Play Store, GitHub and similar platform links are keyed by their path, so different apps do not share a bid.

Categories

You pick your own category when you submit — 28 of them. Category boards rank independently: #1 on the all-time board is expensive, #1 in a category may not be. Wrong category? Tell us and we will move it, free.

After you pay

• A completed payment is what claims the rank. An abandoned checkout holds nothing.
• Click counts are public — anyone can see them on a listing’s detail page.
• Every outbound link carries rel="sponsored nofollow" and goes through a redirect that counts the click. That is what paid links are required to do.
• Payments are not refundable. Payment completes the delivery — what you buy is a placement that goes live immediately. The four cases where we do refund are listed in the Refund & Delivery Policy.
• Leave an email and you get a notification the moment someone outbids you, including exactly what it costs to take your rank back. Unsubscribe from any of those emails.

What we reserve

Listings that break these rules, look fraudulent, or carry clearly misleading descriptions get removed without a refund. Payments are handled by Waffo Pancake as merchant of record, with VAT and sales tax collected at checkout.

The formal version

This page is the plain-language summary — it is what most people actually need. The binding documents are the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund & Delivery Policy. Where this page and the Terms disagree, the Terms govern. Questions go to Contact.
